IPD is a route our Certified Members can take to progress to Chartered status. It includes an assessment process, continuing professional development (CPD) review and Peer Review Interview (PRI). Chartered status shows employers, recruiters, customers and peers you’re at the top of your game.

How do I access my IPD login?
Please follow these steps to access your account:
- Go to the IOSH IPD login page to access the IPD system.
- Enter your username – this is the email address linked to your IOSH membership.
- Select ‘Forgot your password?’
- Check your email. You will receive an email from Skilsure with your password. Please follow the instructions in that email.
The new password will take moments to be received. If you don’t receive it, please check your spam/junk folder. If still not received the email PDS@iosh.com.

How long will I have access to Skilsure?
You will continue to have access to Skilsure until March 2027 to support preparation for your Professional Review Interview (PRI).

When does my IPD registration end?
To find out when your IPD registration ends, review the registration email sent on the day you registered. Your end date will be 25 months after this date.
You can also email PDS@iosh.com with the subject line 'IPD registration end date confirmation'. One of the team will then provide this to you.
We aim to reply within 10 working days. Please reference the subject email line above when sending your email.

How do I book my Electronic Open Assessment exam?
To book your Electronic Open Assessment exam, please complete the Customer Service Centre contact form and confirm which exam date you would like to book. IOSH’s customer service centre will then allocate you to this date and send you a confirmation email.

What is the final date I can submit my End of Assessment (EOA)?
The final date for EOA submission is October 2026.

What is the latest date I can receive an assessment extension?
The final date that assessment extensions can be granted is 30 November 2026.
No assessment extensions can be approved beyond this date.

Why can't my assessment deadline be extended beyond 30 November 2026?
As the IPD programme is closing, all assessment activity must be completed within the agreed programme timelines. These deadlines have been set to ensure a fair and consistent approach for all members.
As a result, we are unable to approve assessment extensions beyond 30 November 2026. Members who are unable to complete the programme by the final deadlines will need to register for the Professional Development Assessment (PDA) route if they wish to continue their progression.

What happens if I do not complete my assessment before my IPD registration end date?
If you do not complete your assessment (excluding your interview) by your registration end date, you would need to register for the Professional Development Assessment route to achieve your Chartered membership with IOSH.

What happens after I complete my assessment?
Following the successful completion of the Electronic Open Assessment or SDP, you are required to pass a CPD review before you will be able to book your interview. Upon completion of these elements, you will be guided to request your CPD review. Should you require support, with your CPD, please email CPD.Enquiries@iosh.com.

How do I book my Peer Review Interview?
To book your Peer Review interview, you will need to contact the Customer Service Centre on +44 (0)116 350 0700. Lines are open Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 UK time.
Once the interview is booked, the customer service centre will ensure you receive a confirmation email.
Please note - we can't reserve a date/time for an interview. The interview needs to be scheduled and paid for. The cost to book your interview is £80.00.

Can I complete a Peer Review interview resit after November 2026?
No. Resits cannot normally be completed after November 2026.
In exceptional circumstances, approved mitigation may allow completion up to March 2027.
Members who remain unsuccessful after the final permitted opportunity will be required to register for the PDA route if they wish to continue their progression.

What is the final date for completing my Professional Review Interview (PRI)?
The final date for PRI completion is 25 March 2027.
Please note that interview slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and availability may become limited closer to the deadline.

What happens if I fail my Professional Review Interview (PRI)?
If you are unsuccessful in your PRI after the final assessment period, you will not be able to continue through the IPD programme and will need to register for the PDA route should you wish to continue your progression.

What if I require a reasonable adjustment?
Requests for reasonable adjustments will continue to be considered through the normal process. However, any agreed adjustments must still be accommodated within the final programme deadlines.

Can my IPD fees be transferred to the PDA route?
No. Fees paid towards the IPD programme cannot be transferred to the PDA route. PDA is a separate route with its own registration requirements and fees.
