    Once you graduate from IOSH Academy, you will have completed the academic requirements to move into either:

    • IOSH Technical membership (Certificate graduates)
    • IOSH Certified membership (Diploma graduates).

    You can then add the relevant post-nominals to your name (TechIOSH or CertIOSH).

    You’ll be able to access even more support, guidance and resources to continue developing your professional qualities.

Which qualifications can you study for?

We offer two qualifications in occupational safety and health:

  • IOSH Certificate, for new and aspiring professionals
  • IOSH Diploma, for professionals seeking to consolidate or move towards senior leadership positions.

These qualifications benefit from their association with IOSH: quality assurance and international recognition. In addition, they provide a direct route into IOSH membership.

IOSH Certificate

The IOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health Principles and Practice provides the basis for a successful career in the profession. You study online, at your own pace.

You’ll gain the skills and knowledge employers are looking for. This qualification is for new and aspiring occupational safety and health professionals in a variety of sectors. It’s also suitable if you already have a role with some responsibility for safety and health and want to build your knowledge. You may be working as a supervisor, manager, team leader or preparing to work at this level.

Most people will complete the Certificate within seven months, depending on how much time they want to dedicate to it each week.

You can complete the IOSH Certificate at IOSH Academy for £549 plus VAT.

IOSH Diploma

The IOSH Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Leadership and Management is a degree-level professional qualification that provides the perfect platform for ambitious professionals seeking career advancement.

The three units of the Diploma combine to give a balanced professional qualification that prepares you to play an effective role in your organisation.

You will gain advanced understanding of OSH legal frameworks and management principles, including approaches to OSH risk management and incident management.

You will learn how to appraise OSH performance and to take responsibility for improving organisational OSH practices and culture. And you’ll develop leadership skills that will enable you to have greater influence to achieve results. You will be able to identify areas for your own continuing professional development.

You can complete the IOSH Diploma at IOSH Academy for £2,195 plus VAT.

As an IOSH member, you will have access to a vast library of resources specially produced by IOSH and subject matter experts to support your learning. You will be able to take advantage of many free learning opportunities at IOSH events, webinars and other activities.
