Building on ‘OSH predictions for 2024’ in the first IOSH magazine of the year, which highlighted increasing climate change and the need for continual development, an upcoming webinar series will delve deeper into the subject.
As more and more organisations seek to support decarbonisation, this new seven-part webinar series Net Zero Business Transformation, hosted by the UN Global Compact Network UK and supported by 103 Ventures, offers lots of useful information.
And, with occupational safety and health (OSH) professionals increasingly engaged in multidisciplinary working, many may be interested in these free continuing professional development (CPD) courses, which aim to provide tools for meaningful corporate change and a step-by-step strategy for approaching net zero transformation.
The free, interactive webinar sessions will cover:
- The case for transformation – 10:00-11:30 BST, 11 April
- Decoupling emissions from growth – 10:00-11:30 BST, 25 April
- Setting a transformative agenda – 10:00-11:30 BST, 9 May
- Understanding complexities – 10:00-11:30 BST, 23 May
- Developing the right conditions: people – 10:00-11:30 BST, 6 June
- Developing the right conditions: systems and processes – 10:00-11:30 BST, 20 June
- Enabling the change – 10:00-11:30 BST, 4 July.
Though primarily aimed at Chief Sustainability Officers (CSOs), sustainability leaders and their teams, these webinars offer OSH professionals valuable opportunities to learn more about this important subject, and potentially contribute to the discussions, helping ensure relevant OSH issues are considered.
Participants will be able to hear from experts and leading businesses on how they have embraced the net zero mindset.
