Presidential awards have been presented to 16 IOSH volunteers to recognise their hard work and dedication towards the Institution and the wider profession.

A number of them were handed over by IOSH President Stuart Hughes in a ‘Celebrating Volunteers’ session during The Health & Safety Event at the NEC Birmingham last week.

They include three President’s Distinguished Service Awards (PDSAs) while others were President’s Commendation Awards (PCAs).

“One of my main objectives in my presidential term was to recognise the value within our volunteer network under the banner ‘by the members, for the members’. So, I was delighted to be able to present several Presidential awards in person to our members. But whether they were presented in person or not, each one is a reflection of the dedication, passion, energy and commitment shown by the recipients. It was humbling to read their nominations and understand just how much they have done for the benefit of our members. Our volunteers are crucial for IOSH. They are often described as the lifeblood of the Institution and that is true. Congratulations to each recipient of the awards.”
