Progress in this profession often comes from navigating uncertainty, learning from experience and developing the qualities that help us lead with confidence.

Challenges, difficult decisions and cultural complexity often shape the journey. There are moments when things don’t go according to plan. Yes it’s in those moments that the most valuable lessons are learned, helping to shape both careers and the future of occupational safety and health.

Strong personal traits, effective safety leadership and the ability to influence are what enable us to thrive in the profession. Making a positive impact on safety culture is now essential for all health and safety leaders. Embedding safety into wider business strategy is also a vital leadership skill.

Stuart Hughes hosts an open discussion on the future of safety careers. Stuart is a past IOSH President and Head of Health and Safety at Mercedes‑AMG PETRONAS Formula One team. He hosts a panel of industry leaders from from some of the world’s largest organisations.

Drawing on their real career experiences including challenges faced and lessons learned along the way, we welcome:

  • Simon Head, Head of International Health and Safety, Fujitsu
  • Sittichoke Huckuntod, Director – Health and Safety, Nike
  • Crystal Danbury, Director of Group Safety, Insurance and Occupational Wellbeing, Sainsbury’s.

Together, they will share honest reflections, practical insights, and the strategies that have helped them succeed.

Join the discussion and move your occupational safety and health career forward with confidence.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to progress, this session will offer actionable guidance and inspiration to support your next step.
