The IOSH Student Member Bursary

The IOSH Student Member Bursary exists to support our Student Members while they complete their IOSH-accredited qualifications. IOSH was named a beneficiary of the will of the late Howard Phillips during 2011 and set up this fund in his memory. Since then, we have continued to contribute to the bursary fund to support our Student Members.

Applications open soon

The 2025 window of the IOSH Student Member Bursary will open on Monday 03 November, 09:00 GMT and close on Monday 15 December, 16:00 GMT.

IOSH Student Members can apply for up to £250 towards their studies and professional development. 

Please come back on Monday 03 November to apply.

“As someone passionate about advancing my career in health and safety, I applied because I wanted to invest in my education and professional development," said Racheal David.

"The bursary seemed like a great way to support those goals. I used the money as part-payment for ISO 14001 and 9001 courses. The financial support has been a huge help in gaining the qualifications and knowledge I need to excel in the industry.
