Proactively engaging with workers can prevent many accidents. Increasingly, organisations are encouraging managers and other senior leaders to discuss with staff their health and safety concerns, so steps can be taken to further reduce risks in the workplace.

Our ‘Engaging to prevent’ one-day course looks at how to implement a systemic approach to engaging teams and investigating safety issues before accidents occur.

We explore the most effective questions to ask to get a true picture of potential problems and how best to analyse, feed back and use that information to improve workplace safety.

  • Explore different approaches.
  • Find out how to make safety tours more effective.
  • Apply a range of tools to better engage with colleagues. Spot early warning signs and find out crucial information about their safety and health concerns before accidents happen.
  • Analyse staff responses and evaluate the best way forward to reduce incidents in the workplace.

Health and safety professionals, managers and those involved in safety tours.
