Summary
British Airways recently opened a new facility airside for operational staff. The new hub brings occupational specific physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation directly to employees in their workplace. The aim is to build physical resilience and active function through work-tailored exercises and education, promoting recovery, preventing injury and improving physical health. The speaker, Lina Chohan, will be sharing the journey and view from various stakeholders.
Lina is a specialist occupational health physiotherapist who works at British Airways as a musculoskeletal and ergonomic specialist. This role involves physiotherapy provision and collaborating with the wider business to influence good musculoskeletal health in the workplace. This is done by using data, evidence and experience to take a strategic and targeted approach. Lina has previously worked at TfL and BT Group plc. Lina is a committee member of the Association for Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE).
